Bar SpikeBeth will signal when the current bar has spiked 200% above the past 4 bars. (There are filters involved so that signals are not given during slow periods.) Spike bars can indicate both the beginning and ending of a move. There are those who suggest that when a spike becomes obvious, 5-7 bars into a move, exit at market – just before the bar closes – and take advantage of “positive slippage.” |
